BOOK FAIR IS COMING
MONDAY, MAY 14–FRIDAY, MAY 18
 PTA is excited to bring the book fair to our students once again.....just in time to stock up on their favorites for summertime reading.
We need volunteers to help make it a success once again. Click here to view shifts and submit availability online.

 We appreciate your continued support of the recycling program for the school! Please remember to check your plastic bottles for the 'CA CRV' label. The school only receives money for the plastic bottles that have that label. We want all aluminum beverage cans! Don't forget to bring in your newspapers. The contest ends in June. What grade level will win?
Recycle totals year-to-date:
1st place: First grade, with 434 lbs., 14 oz.
2nd place: Third grade with 353 lbs., 3 oz.
3rd place: Fifth grade with 347 lbs., 10 oz.
4th place: Second grade with 321 lbs., 10 oz.
5th place: Fourth grade with 217 lbs., 6 oz.
6th place: Kindergarten with 200 lbs., 9 oz.

BOOK FAIR PAJAMA STORY NIGHT
Benedict Bobcats, put on your PJs and enjoy a night of stories read by our favorite teachers and Dr. Hibsch!
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
5:30–7:30 p.m. Book Fair Open
6–6:45 p.m. Guest Readers
SCHOOL APPRECIATION CARDS
From May 1–June 30, every time you swipe your School Appreciation Card (these were sent home with your PTA cards in November), you will also receive $1 off your purchase at Jamba Juice.
Cards will be available in the office. No coupons necessary! Just make sure you swipe your card every time you make a purchase at Jamba Juice.
As always, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Truman Benedict. Download the flyer for more information.

Flyers went home before the break with information about Sponsorship and Silent Auction Donations. For questions, please e-mail Stacy von der Linden.
Please turn in all boxtops that you have collected. They can be dropped off in the office or taken to classroom.
Also, we will take Labels for Education (check your soup cans) as well. If you log on to each of the sites, you can register to get bonus points as well.
We will continue to collect Boxtops and Labels for Education throughout the school year, so keep clipping! Each label counts!
Have you seen all the great things PTA has been doing at the school? Have your kids talked about the 36 new computers in our new computer lab?
Maybe they mentioned the field trips, music programs, art programs, assemblies. Do you want to be a part of this great organization? Its never too late to be a member.
